Since this bootleg has been floating around on the web for the last couple of weeks I finally received it and thought that I would upload it immediately. The show I'm talking about is Roanoke, VA, 15th of March 2012 -- the night before Raleigh (which is available on my channel). The show comes in a great quality (better than Raleigh) with the great and exciting three-hour long set list, and is complete.

On these shows (Raleigh and Roanoke) Elton shows that he has improved himself in various ways. Elton's getting older and the set lists are growing bigger and bigger which is quite amazing. Also, Elton's vocals has improved in my opinion. Elton goes for more falsettos which he wouldn't do a couple years ago. In fact, he has not done so many falsettos since the early nineties. Great examples are Saturday Night's (the "diesel train" line) and All The Girls Love Alice (the "if I give you my number" line). But all in all Elton's vocal sounds more or less the same as Raleigh, if not a bit cleaner at this show.
Elton plays a wonderful version of Levon with the great ladies singing stunning backing vocals. Elton also plays a fantastic piano solo on that particular song. Madman Across The Water is fantastic and the jams are even more fantastic as the band manages to follow each other while playing. Notice that Elton plays parts of the famous Beethoven piece Für Elise and Old McDonald Had A Farm. Gone To Shiloh is also a great performance as Elton uses some different phrasings than usual which make the song more interesting. Throughout the show the audience is very responsive and enthusiastic and during the band introduction they really give the whole band a warm welcome! A really good version of Believe -- in fact, one of the best in a long time! Someone Saved My Life Tonight is amazing with Elton singing it very smoothly though in has been transposed quite a bit from the original recording due to Elton's transition from tenor to baritone. Elton comforts the die-hard fans with some obscure material, I'm Gonna Be A Teenage Idol, which Elton dedicates to a guy in a Elton John t-shirt, who obviously attend a lot of shows, and to two dancing guys that were dancing like maniacs! Another fantastic performance of this song. Elton doesn't sing the "LALALA" part on Crocodile Rock anymore. Someone else does that. I don't know whether that's good or bad, but I think I would prefer Elton singing it while not singing it in falsetto. Ending with Your Song this show is another gem. This show is really long and let's hope that Elton will stick to the long/obscure set list.
