After sorting through which Elton John concert to upload next, a friend of mine attended Elton's John's 3/16/2011 show, and made my work much easier! He has requested that his concert be uploaded in full on YouTube! Yay! He sat in the nosebleed section, and recorded this concert on a Sansa e260 MP3 Player. The quality is actually quite decent--and this show is complete! If there is a Union Tour concert that is epic, obnoxious, has a great atmosphere, and has Elton in brilliant voice, then this is the concert!

From the beginning, there is an extremely positive atmosphere at Madison Square Garden, and Elton clearly enjoys the whole show: He embellishes all the songs, and invents new phrasing on quite a few of them! He delivers fantastic versions of "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting," "Levon," "Tiny Dancer," "Philadelphia Freedom," "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues," "Rocket Man" (Elton flubs the words in the second verse, and a fight breaks out during the improv section), "Hey Ahab," "Sad Songs (Say So Much)," "Take Me To The Pilot," "Candle In The Wind," "Burn Down The Mission," "Bennie And The Jets," "The Bitch Is Back," "Crocodile Rock," and "Your Song." These songs are among the best times he's performed them since the last decade or so (some versions may go back to as far as the late 80s)! Leon Russell also makes his appearance, and he is in great voice as well (very clean vocals).

Note 1: Gregg Allman (Allman Brothers Band) makes a cameo appearance on "Gone To Shiloh."

Note 2: Davey Johnstone's daughter plays percussion on "Crocodile Rock."

Note 3: The picture explains the great concert: Elton is drinking "Elton Juice." Unlike his "medicine" in the 80s, this stuff spares his nose, and is taken in a glass. It is guaranteed to produce awesome concert moments. Want some Elton Juice?
