Hello everybody! After getting dozens of requests from some specific people, Charlotte 1984 will now make its appearance on Youtube! This concert was originally "previewed" by TSS_Killer (under his "bccsrox" channel), and the whole thing was originally uploaded by formulaonemad (before he closed his channel). I thought I would try my hand at uploading this show! This recording has good quality and is complete (though I think the taper cut out the crowd noise between some songs)!

This show is possibly one of the funniest shows that Elton has done in his live career: He is off his face on various drugs (probably cocaine and marijuana-- judging by his demeanor on the songs), is in pretty rough voice (he blew his voice partying after the 1st Worcester show, and it still doesn't sound healed), and oversings the shit out of almost every song (despite sounding rough)! Since this show is so funny, every song will be featured in the description! "Tiny Dancer" sounds rough, but he STILL hits the falsetto parts clean (how the fuck he does that is beyond me), "Levon" has random lyrics (which is the norm for this tour), and Elton growling out half the notes, "Li'l 'Frigerator" is one of the worst versions ever (some of his higher notes sound like shit, does phrasing that resembles the "Angry Bird Phrasing" from the 1986 versions of "I'm Still Standing," and makes up lyrics), "Rocket Man" is pretty good, but there's FAR better versions on the tour, "Daniel" is rough and random (with phrasing that makes no sense), "Restless" is obnoxious, and Elton says "I sit and play my radio, on the 449" (I don't know what that means--probably a North Carolina reference), "Candle In The Wind" is the most obnoxious, oversung version in the history of Elton recordings, and "The Bitch Is Back" has Elton hitting B4s so chesty and strained, that it hurts! Plus he overdoes the song, and makes up lyrics!

The fun continues when Elton plays "Who Wears These Shoes." It's the absolute worst version of the song: Elton's mid-range notes have little quality to them, and he does that "Angry Birds Phrasing" on the word "DARLING." "Sad Songs (Say So Much)" has Elton making up his own timings on words (which throws off the arrangement of the song), "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" is good (but there's better versions on the tour), and "Bennie And The Jets" is one of the funniest versions ever: He's EXTREMELY reckless on the song, growls, yells, barks, makes up piano chords, and roars out notes! An audience member even says that he's "a little destructive tonight!" "Philadelphia Freedom" has Elton missing the Bb4s on the chorus parts (when he sings "Philadelphia Freedom--shine on me), but hits the D5s at the end, "Blue Eyes" sounds fine," "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" is obnoxious, and "Kiss The Bride" is beyond ridiculous: Elton changes the words to "and the groom would've known he would've had a shit," oversings random lines, and does Verona 1989 phrasing towards the end of the song!

If that wasn't enough, "I'm Still Standing" has Elton hitting A4s instead of Ab4s (which don't sound good), and sounds strained throughout the song! "Your Song" sounds alright, but the rougher voice doesn't really work well with the song, "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" has random phrasing throughout, and wrong lyrics, but to Elton's credit--he does hit the C5s! "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" is one of the weaker versions on the tour (he sounds strained on the higher notes), but manages to get through the song, and "Crocodile Rock" is very funny: Elton does random phrasing (varies from speak-singing to baritone phrasing), has trouble hitting some of the higher notes, and doesn't sing parts of the second chorus!
