Elton's 1984 world tour is one of Elton's most popular ones: Throughout my Youtube viewing history, I have seen millions of comments talking about Elton's 1984 live performances in a positive way! The most common 1984 gigs brought up are the Sydney one (unlike the one from 1986, Elton hits only one note at a time), Wembley Stadium, and Worcester! With the help of some awesome friends, I have amassed over a dozen NEW 1984 gigs for everybody to listen to! This is one of these new gigs! I'd like to thank forumulaonemad for "previewing" this concert on his channel--allowing everybody to get a taste of this show!

Since this is towards the beginning of the European Express Tour (the European leg of the 1984 tour), Elton's voice is in superb shape, and sounds very fresh. Unlike most 1984 performances, Elton doesn't oversing all that much (I have yet to figure that out), and isn't as obnoxious as he would later be. This concert contains rare instances (by 1980s standards) where Elton would actually blend his falsetto into his full voice--creating very clean and powerful notes! The "One More Arrow" is an example: Most other performances have him using full voice on the notes--but here, he's blending falsetto into them--creating a version that sounds almost identical to the studio version (at the cost of flubbing a couple lyrics). Other great performances include: "Candle In The Wind" (very "gentle" version--one of the best of the tour) "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me," "Island Girl" (the best version ever), "Bennie And The Jets," "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" (one of the best versions on the tour), "Kiss The Bride," "Too Low For Zero," and "I'm Still Standing."

This concert is mostly complete ("Tiny Dancer" is missing, and there's cuts throughout), and the quality is decent enough.
