Since I'm known for uploading more present stuff (mostly from the 90's, 00's, and 10's) I thought I would upload something different than I usually upload: Ludwigshafen 2nd of June 1984. This will be my very first upload form the year 1984 and yet it's one of my favorite periods. The recording comes in a great soundboard recording and it is a very clear recording, if not a bit bass heavy. The show itself is complete and features Elton in a great vocal shape (he hits most of the notes throughout the show), but at moments he seems a bit rough, but it doesn't destroy anything!

Elton shows on the first song, Tiny Dancer, that he sounds fresh and clean and he makes nice falsettos in the chorus. Next moment is before Rocket Man where Elton tells the audience that there are troubles with one of the guitars and the beginning of the song is therefore delayed. When the song eventually starts it is a great version! What I miss in these times is the great horn section which Elton later would add on his 1985/1986 tour. They are awesome on Rocket Man! The Bitch Is Back is awesome -- Elton slams the piano. Elton also slams the piano on Bennie And The Jets as he plays one of his many great boogie improvisations. Elton plays a great version of Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word and makes nice falsettos! Elton doesn't oversing parts of Your Song as his tendencies at these times sometimes would be.
Otherwise, this show should be one to enjoy and the high-energy songs is wonderful to listen to.
