I have seen hundreds of comments of Youtube concerning Elton's 1984 era ("It's his best year," "His voice was at its peak," and "the Breaking Hearts Tour was his best tour."). This concert is an excellent example of these statements. Despite being one of the final gigs on the tour, Elton's voice is in SUPERB shape: He doesn't show any vocal fatigue (unlike the Worcester gig from 11/4/1984), hits every note (and then some), and his tone is squeaky clean (no rasp, growl, etc). This concert was nominated by some friends as "being one of Elton's best overall concerts." I do not disagree with that! We have a rowdy crowd, excellent versions of all the songs, awesome playing, and overall, a very fun atmosphere at Madison Square Garden! The quality is pretty good, and it's complete!

Some top notch versions of songs are played during this show: "Tiny Dancer," "Rocket Man," "Candle In The Wind," "Bennie And The Jets" (it's very fucking OBNOXIOUS), "Philadelphia Freedom" (probably the best version ever), and "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting."

Note: The awesome-ness of this concert can be explained by Elton's picture! He's on some STRONG medicine!
