As requested by that crazy British man named "Elton Bootlegs," here's a show from Elton's 1985-1986 tour! He originally purchased this recording awhile back, and was nice enough to send a copy to me! In return, I shall upload this show with my views! The quality is pretty decent, but it's a pretty distant recording (so you can hear audience members pretty loudly)! Sadly, this recording is quite incomplete (it cuts off after Elton does the band introduction), but at least we have 2/3rds of the show!

This is an energetic show, with a very enthusiastic crowd! As usual, the band sound awesome and provide wonderful music for everybody to listen to! Elton doesn't sound too hot on this show, but unlike other shows from this era, he at least has some semblance of his old voice intact and doesn't sound like he's affected with pneumonia! When I first heard about this show, I thought he would sound terrible (he sounds absolutely dreadful on the last MSG 1986 show--hopefully I'll be getting that recording soon, and his vocals on Howard Stern's show are cringe-worthy). Thankfully, his voice recovered slightly and while it's still not in great shape, it's at least listenable! However, There are some performances to watch out for: "Tonight" doesn't sound great (he barely makes the falsetto parts and almost completely messes up the second A4 falsetto attempt), "One Horse Town" sounds rough (although not the worst version), "Philadelphia Freedom" has wrong note choices and voice disintegration on the first chorus, and "Levon" isn't the best performance (he does the "Angry Bird phrasing" throughout). As for the better performances: "Better Off Dead" sounds pretty good (WAY better than the Los Angeles versions), "Rocket Man" has creative phrasing and he hits a few falsetto notes, "Burn Down The Mission" isn't too bad, "Paris" sounds fine, "Restless" is OK, and "Bennie And The Jets" has Elton oversinging the third chorus, practicing his scuba diving (see the end of the piano improv for that), and sounding pretty good vocally!

Note 1: An audience member calls Elton: "Pattie LaBelle" with pink hair (at the end of "Burn Down The Mission"). Another member calls him a "show-off" at the end of "Bennie And The Jets," and before the band introduction, someone else makes comments about him playing guitar, and being the "multi-talented Elton John."
