I'm back with a re-upload of one of Elton's concerts from the best year ever! Saratoga 30th of August 1986. Adam (Elton Bootlegs) uploaded this concert once and I'm now going to upload it one more with a complete description of every song from the show. The show was recorded from the soundboard and is therefore in superb quality.

While 1986 was the year where Elton had his best vocals ever and his worst vocals, this show features Elton in a bad shape. Adam called this show "the drama in Saratoga" and there's no doubt about that Elton is suffering badly from his throat issues during this show. However, Elton is still able to hit some falsettos so we get a mix of a working voice and a ruined voice on this show.
On the other side the band plays fantastic as always during this period of time and it's a pleasure to listen to the band. Following is the complete description of the entire show with every song in sequence:

1. Tonight:
A decent performance of a great song from the Blue Moves album. Elton has a very tender and thin voice and he fails slightly on the last "tonight" falsetto and that ranks the performance as decent.

2. One Horse Town:
I've always loved Fred Mandel's electric piano in the intro of the song during the 1985/1986 world tour. Some of the best performances were played earlier in 1986 but Elton's rough doesn't suit the song at all. This performance ranks quite low.

3. Better Off Dead:
A terrible version. Elton's voice is at the edge of cracking during most of the song because it is too high. I loathe this version.

4. Rocket Man:
Great musically; great brass section. Vocally it's not the best but trust me - it'll get worse late on the year.

5. Philadelphia Freedom:
First of all, poor Ian, Elton's light man. Elton scolds him because he's unhappy with the lights. at 1.26 Elton's voice cracks and this performance is very bad. Elton is not able to sing the song properly.

6. Burn Down The Mission:
Elton goes for higher notes which he really should consider to avoid because it does not sound good. A great performance from the band though.

7. Someone Saved My Life Tonight:
Elton has to sing really high on this and does mostly a great job but you can almost hear and feel how much Elton is struggling to sing the song. Not a good version.

8. The Bitch Is Back:
Cut at the end. Awful vocal performance. A really terrible version.

9. Saratoga Medley:
2.08 - one of the worst angry birds notes ever recorded. Tiny cracks here and there and a lot of Elton's roughness which ranks this version far from the top. Otherwise, an OK performance.

10. Levon:
Not a good version at all. Elton can hardly hit the notes and screams and shouts them out instead. At 2.53 Elton makes a hell of a fail which is one of Elton's worst live moments of all time. One of the worst versions!

11. Paris:
Some roughness and a little bit of cracks. Actually a rather good version in my eyes.

12. Restless:
Some poor growl! A really bad version!

13. Bennie And The Jets:
One of the worst and most hilarious 3rd verses ever! As Adam described this "he sounds like a german person" and that is very true!

14. Band Introduction:
Angry birds phrasing on the band introduction!

15. Love Song:
A lower range song and Elton's voice is able to go with the song. A rather great performance with Elton playing the guitar!

16. Sad Songs (Say So Much):
Not too bad, but still, poor Elton is suffering from the nodules on his vocal chords.

17. This Town:
Is a bit too oversung in my opinion. Otherwise a fine performance and I love the piano intro!

18. I'm Still Standing:
A very characteristic piano intro. Filled with angry bird phrasing!

19. Nikita:
Not too bad either. Only towards the end where Elton has to sing higher!

20. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting:
Horrible, fast, and obnoxious! BAD VOCALS!!!

21. Candle In The Wind:
Even worse than some of the later 1986 gigs. Sydney for instance is way better than this!

22. Daniel:
Not too bad but far from the best.

23. Your Song
Not great but still decent though Elton has a bit of a whispering voice in the last chorus.
