Today is a fantastic day to be an Elton John fan who loves 1986 recordings and has wanted new shows to be posted to YouTube! I will be posting two brand new bootlegs never seen on YouTube (bccsrox has previewed both shows!) but I'm uploading both shows! Before I discuss this first show, I would like to say a couple of thank you messages to a number of people who if it wasn't for them, this wouldn't have been possible! My first thanks goes to Elizabeth who very kindly let us have the recordings from her personal collection (extremely grateful for that!)! My second thank you goes to jack615 who got the tapes originally and previewed the shows to us plus he then posted them onto the next person I will thank! My final thank you goes to tsskiller08 who sat for hours and hours transferring these shows from tape to his computer and then worked on pitch correction and many other things with these recordings! So all in all, I'm a very happy bootlegger! So these next two uploads are dedicated to you, in particular tsskiller08 who likes this show in particular!

The first show I am going to upload today comes from Hartford! The show is mostly complete (Burn Down The Mission isn't on this recording plus there's cuts throughout!) and is in pretty decent quality compared to how it first sounded!

On this show, Elton proves that Montreal was just a blip as his vocal strength is phenomenal on this show although he does slightly weaken near the encores but it doesn't affect the show at all! On almost every song, Elton randomly embellishes notes in a really good way which makes this show fun to listen to and proves all the theories that his voice was going to be complete rubbish! Although Elton warms his voice up usually, this is one show where he doesn't exactly sound rough on the first few songs! Plus the audience is amazing on this show so there is a great atmosphere throughout!

Tonight is a fantastic performance plus wouldn't sound out of place earlier in the year, One Horse Town with an interesting first verse plus nice embellishments during the instrumental section near the end, Better Off Dead which in my opinion is the best US version plus could beat UK versions, Rocket Man with awesome embellished notes throughout the song plus sounding strong with the Bb4's during the improv, Philadelphia Freedom is a fantastic version (probably the best version that doesn't contain D5's at the end!), Someone Saved My Life Tonight with awesome piano chords plus Elton throwing in random embellishments plus this is probably the last time he sounds like 1985 on the song, The Bitch Is Back with the most random first verse ever as Elton hits a C5 randomly plus yet again he randomly embellishes the whole song, Song For You which sounds great, Blue Eyes and I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues which both contain randomness but sound fantastic!

Onto the next song which on first hearing shocked me plus several others! Levon where Elton embellishes so much plus his note choices are fantastic which makes it the best version on the tour plus this beats the majority of 1984 versions, Paris which is another candidate for best version ever as Elton sounds like 1984 vocally, Restless is also a strong US version with strong B4's near the end plus he is freaking obnoxious with the same comment applying to Bennie And The Jets where he goes way over the top during the second verse plus sounds like a German in the third verse, Love Song which is a great version, Sad Songs (Say So Much) with a great vocal introduction plus strong embellishments plus it is probably the best US version, This Town which is crazy with Elton singing the majority of the song in a higher octave than normal and I'm Still Standing with a great piano intro plus he sounds like early US with his vocals but he is powerful with his Ab4's which sound more like 1984 however he does flub the beginning of the second verse!

Even though Elton slightly blows his voice at this point in this show but it isn't as bad as later gigs on the tour but Nikita sounds superb with strong lower range notes plus sounds relatively clean at the end which makes it a top version, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting is the first sign that he has blown his voice but it is not a bad version plus he does great phrasing to make up for the blown voice, Candle In The Wind with nice interpretations of some lines plus sounds clean at the end which is great, Daniel which is a strong vocal version and Your Song with a 1984 style piano intro from Elton plus he sounds great vocally compared to 24 hours later!
Enjoy this fantastic show!
