To continue the uploads for the upcoming Elton John debate, I thought that I would do a re-upload of one of Elton's finest shows from the tour (and often cited as being one of the best 1986 shows)! When I originally downloaded this show, it ran too fast, and needed to be remastered! The legendary tsskiller08 has fixed the sound (he balanced out the EQ, fixed the panning issues, and eliminated some bad distortion on the mid frequencies), and I fixed the pitch! Together, we bring you the best known copy of this show! The quality is pretty good, and is mostly complete ("Highlander" is cut)!

This is Elton's first show of the European leg of his 1985/1986 tour! Elton has dropped "Honky Cat," "Shoot Down The Moon," "Kiss The Bride," and the "Stripper/Football Crazy" songs permanently from the set! He has replaced them with "Philadelphia Freedom," "Paris," "Cry To Heaven," and "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting." These first versions of the songs are great!

Elton's voice is in excellent shape on this concert, and delivers great versions of "Tonight" (one of the best versions of 1986), "One Horse Town" (the last known version where he nails the whole thing), "Better Off Dead," "Rocket Man" (the last known version where he nails every Bb4), "Philadelphia Freedom," "The Bitch Is Back," "Blue Eyes" (where he sounds like his 1982 voice for some reason), "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues," "Paris," "Restless" (great slap/pop bass playing by David Paton), "Bennie And The Jets," "Cry To Heaven" (best version ever--and goes in his top live vocals for the tour), "This Town," "Nikita," "I'm Still Standing" (candidate for the best version for the tour), "Wrap Her Up," "Candle In The Wind," "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting," and "Your Song!"

Note 1: There's a fan that sounds like a dying car engine that makes noise before a few songs!

Note 2: Do NOT listen to Barcelona 1986 after hearing this show--it is a complete 180 from this show. Skip that show, and go to Lille 1986 (the next available recording after Barcelona) instead!
